This Modern Slavery Statement is made by Man with Van Highbury in relation to the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps we are taking to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chains. All directors, employees, contractors, and temporary workers are expected to uphold this policy and to behave in a way that promotes fairness, dignity, and respect for every individual. Breaches of this policy are treated seriously and may result in disciplinary action or termination of contracts.

Our Business and Supply Chains

Man with Van Highbury operates primarily in the local removals, man and van, and light logistics sectors. Our supply chains include vehicle leasing and maintenance providers, fuel suppliers, equipment and packaging suppliers, IT and software providers, and occasionally labour agencies.

We recognise that certain areas of our supply chain may present a higher risk of labour exploitation, particularly where temporary, low-skilled, or outsourced labour is used, or where goods or services originate from higher risk regions. We are committed to identifying and addressing these risks in a systematic and proportionate manner.

Supplier Standards and Audits

We expect all suppliers and business partners to share our commitment to preventing modern slavery. Our approach to supplier management includes:

Communicating our zero-tolerance stance on modern slavery and requiring suppliers to comply with all applicable labour and human rights laws. Assessing new suppliers for ethical and labour standards where appropriate before entering into a business relationship. Reserving the right to conduct checks or request evidence from suppliers to demonstrate that modern slavery is not present in their operations and supply chains. Where appropriate and proportionate, undertaking audits or spot checks on higher risk suppliers, which may include reviewing policies, training materials, and evidence of workforce management practices.

If we identify concerns during an audit or review, we will work with the supplier to implement corrective actions within a defined timeframe. If issues are not resolved to our satisfaction, we may suspend or terminate the business relationship.

Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing

Man with Van Highbury encourages a culture of openness where concerns about modern slavery, exploitation, or unethical behaviour can be raised without fear of retaliation. Employees, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders are encouraged to report any suspicions or evidence of modern slavery as soon as possible.

We will not tolerate victimisation of any person who, in good faith, raises a concern or assists in an investigation related to modern slavery or human rights abuses. Appropriate remedial and disciplinary action will be taken where wrongdoing is identified.

Training, Awareness, and Continuous Improvement

We aim to increase awareness of modern slavery risks across our business by providing relevant information and guidance to employees, particularly those involved in recruitment, supplier selection, and contract management.

This Modern Slavery Statement is reviewed at least annually by the management of Man with Van Highbury. As part of the annual review, we assess:
